 About This Book...

Using reader friendly format, this book covers subject that haven't been covered in any Indian book so far, since the existing books on networking are not comprehensive enough. A lot of source codes have been added for easy understanding. It covers all aspects of windows, networking, internet, viruses, hacking, PERL etc. This book is perfectly timed, given the current public interest in issues like net-security, cyber wars, etc.

People all over the world are fascinated by 'Hacking' and 'How Hackers Work?' but have no real concrete reading resource to build their knowledge base upon. This book, has ultimate resource, which explores all aspects of Computer security, without holding back anything. Having based his research on his own experiences and readings, Ankit Fadia, 16, has formulated ways in which to identify the real hacker, who is out to destroy the system with his own inputs, and thus avoid the loss of data and privacy.
He has very meticulously dealt with the nuances of the 'hacker' and the 'cracker' along with tips on how to recognise the real culprits and not fall into their traps unknowingly, but instead following the policy of fighting 'Evil with Evil'.
* Most comprehensive and exhaustive book on computer security
* Gives an in-depth look into Hacking techniques
* Throws light on unexplored horizons of Networking and Hacking
* Covers even the undocumented aspects of computer security
* Also presents even the advanced concepts in an easy to understand, newbie friendly manner.

Hackers Heaven
This Book Covers The inside points of hacking. I for one, have never seen such a comprehansive book. A quick view at all the aspects of hacking--or is it a crash course in the stealthiness & techniques of a hacker. ~This is the ultimate book one can get his/her hands on~!!!!!!!!!!

Hackers Heaven
This book is the door to a hackers heaven!!! It opens up the different portals & doors of hacking. Hacking is covered in very few books, & I think this book has topped all the others in its line!! True, the modules are a bit difficult to understand, but this book has made me a PRO HACKER!!!! I owe my computer experiences to this book. Whenever in doubt, I just turn to the book & voila!!!! Problem Solved! A true hacker will find this book very interesting as it covers a different aspect of the whole thing!!!! A good read, a truncated appropriate content this book is rated 5-star in my opinion.

Excellent Content
Ankit Fadia, the author of this book is 16 year old and it is difficult to take an objective view of a book that has been written by 16-year old and extremely talented at that. There is no doubt he has put together a fine book. It's easy to read and tackles the fundamentals competently. He begins with a deft assurance on the basics. This is cracking BIOS passwords. "BIOS: Basic settings of your computer, how many and what kind of disk drives you have...A tiny battery keeps this chip running so that whenever you turn off your computer it still remebers the instructions." Meticulously Ankit takes the reader through all the little tricks that will eventually help one crack the BIOS setup. Older readers may be assumed or perhaps horrified as Fadia reveals how software NetNanny can be dealt with. This software keeps tight leash on the surfing habits of the young. Author is indignant about censorship of any kind and has used his annoyance to get pass the pesky software with a venegance which only a teenager can posses. The book enters dangerous territory as Fadia explores the dark underbelly of the net: Email bombing, IP Spoofing, DoS (Denial of Service attacks). More than this Fadia provides the reader with devastating lines of code, which in wrong hands, can proove disastrous. In whole book he tried to proove the difference between hackers and crackers. "Traditionally Hackers were computer geeks who knew almost everything about computers...they are actually nice people. They break into systems but have decency not to cause any damage or steal passwords. Instead they report the hole or vulnerability to the system administrator. Crackers, on the other hand, are not-so-nice people who deface websites, launch viruses and wrek havoc." A drwaback of the book is that it tries to reinvent the wheel far too often, whether it is about customising the start menu, tinkering about with registry etc. This is a waste of time as a lot of free programmes are available for that. He sights that he could not get a decent keylogger but if he searched the net he could have found one. He wrote the program himself and reproduced the same in the book generously. The other jarring factor is the shoddy editing and lack of an index. Perhaps McMillan India was so overcome of Fadia's age-he is the youngest author in the 110 year history of of McMillan that they forgot all about tidying up the text. Overall the book after a few inprovemnts from the author as well as the publisher can become a cult classic as "Hacking Exposed" by Scambray, McClure and Kurtz.

An Excellent Must-Have
I would recommend this book not only to all the budding wannabies but also to the matured system administrators as it would be a great review for them. As it is new, it covers all the latest loopholes and vulnerabilities in systems. I had a glance at the book at my friend's and simply wanted to have my own copy. It wasnt enuff for me to share his copy. So i ordered one. Being written by a 16 year old, i think it should be an inspiration for all computers nerds and wannabies to enlighten oneself with the knowledge from the book. It would really be of great help to all students of computers. Everything in the book is user-friendly and very easy to understand. Since it covers all the paths of the computer field, one can increase his knowledge about a particular favourite field to a great extent. One will surely benefit a lot by ordering this book. I hope you all order it and increase your wisdom in the so vast computer field.

An Excellent Guide
I think that it was a lucky day for me when I read this super book for just reading it. But when I read it I developed more and more interest in it. So I decided to purchase ethical hacking. Now days I am giving first basic reference to my friends who are interested in hacking.

Give him what he deserves
If we take an overview of this whole book we would find that nothing other matches to it. The book not only reveals all the secrets but also provide us the knowledge which is and which was far from our knowledge database. Neither me nor anyone can deny that he doesn't like this book, but when we see that the writer to this book is from a age group which like to only watch n play, then this book rates to higher standards. Very few people around us dare to write but only a few of them succeed to achieve what they mostly and truly deserve, they not only get what they deserve but they also get what they had wished and finally it's dream come true for them. Ankit is one of them and I wish Ankit all the best for his forthcoming future plans
